Elementor is a powerful drag-and-drop page builder plugin for WordPress that allows you to create stunning and custom layouts without any coding knowledge. In this step-by-step guide, we’ll walk you through the process of creating and updating posts and pages using Elementor.
First, make sure you have the Elementor plugin installed and activated on your WordPress site. You can do this by navigating to “Plugins” in your WordPress dashboard, clicking on “Add New,” and searching for “Elementor.” Install and activate the plugin.
To create a new post or page, go to “Posts” or “Pages” in your WordPress dashboard and click on “Add New.” Give your post or page a title and click the “Edit with Elementor” button.
Elementor offers a range of pre-designed templates that you can use as a starting point. If you wish to use a template, click on the folder icon at the bottom center of the Elementor editor screen. Browse through the available templates, choose the one you like, and click “Insert.”
Now it’s time to customize the content of your post or page. The Elementor editor interface will display a live preview of your post or page on the right side of the screen, while the left side will show the available elements and settings.
To add a new element, click on the “+” icon in the left panel and choose from the wide range of elements available, such as headings, text blocks, images, buttons, and more. Drag and drop the element onto your page.
To edit an element, simply click on it in the live preview, and the left panel will display the element’s settings and options. Modify the text, styling, colors, and other properties to match your preferences.
To rearrange elements, you can drag and drop them within the live preview or use the “Navigator” feature in the bottom left corner of the Elementor editor to manage the element hierarchy.
Elementor provides advanced settings to further customize your post or page. To access these settings, click on the gear icon at the bottom left corner of the Elementor editor.
General Settings: Set the page layout, background color or image, and other general settings for your post or page.
Style Settings: Customize the design and styling options, including typography, colors, spacing, and borders.
Advanced Settings: Configure advanced options like responsiveness, visibility conditions, custom CSS, and more.
Once you have finished customizing your post or page, click the “Preview” button at the bottom center of the Elementor editor to see how it looks. If you’re satisfied with the result, click the “Publish” button to make your post or page live on your website.
To update an existing post or page with Elementor, navigate to “Posts” or “Pages” in your WordPress dashboard. Locate the post or page you want to update and click on the “Edit with Elementor” button. Follow the same steps as mentioned above to make the necessary changes and updates to your content.
